MEDFORD, Ore.-- The Randall Theatre Company will stay open thanks to community support.
Earlier in March, the theater owners announced they needed about $20,000 to keep it up and running. The news disappointed many people who took part in the shows and those that came to see them.
Without the money, the theater would have been forced to close on March 21.
In less than two weeks, the community came together to raise the money.
The theater owners say they plan to continue to showcase local talent and promote artistic and educational activities in the community.
The owners will continue to collect donations for this campaign through the original March 21 date. They say a non profit theater company can't survive on ticket sales alone.
The theater is thanking everyone who helped keep the theater alive. It's holding a "We Saved the Randall" party. It will be April 6 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Anyone is welcome to stop by.
