ASHLAND, Ore. — History repeated itself in Ashland today.
Southern Oregon won its second straight Cascade Conference tournament with a three-set sweep of fourth-ranked Eastern Oregon. Before today, both the meetings between the Raiders and Mountaineers teams went the distance, each going to five sets.
But CCC Player of the Year Taylor Ristvedt and the rest of the SOU team decided that would take too long. They had ten blocks in just the first set, a single frame high in head coach Josh Rohlfing's 13-year SOU career.
With the win, the Raiders have punched their ticket into the 44-team NAIA Championship in Sioux City, Iowa.
The tournament will be played from December 3rd to December 7th.
