ASHLAND, Ore. Sew Creative has donated hundreds of quilts to wildfire victims in need. The store originally donated quilts to the Talent-Phoenix School District.
The Owner, Karen Bates, said "I am a quilter. I know that quilters are very generous people, and in fact, I was really almost afraid to put the word out until I knew where I could give some of the quilts, because I knew that they were going to be flooding in.".

Quilts from across the country, as far as New York and North Carolina, have been shipped to the store to be donated. Bates says that they will continue donating quilts as long as quilts are being shipped in.
People affected by the fire may come into the store every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday to pick out a quilt personally. People are able to shuffle in and go through all the quilts until they find one that speaks to them.
For people that can not make in on those days, someone else is allowed to go in and pick one up for you. Quilts are not one per family but one per person.
