Prescribed burn on the Fremont-Winema National Forest

Starting on Monday, October 7th be prepared to see smoke in the National Forest.

KLAMATH FALLS, Or-- The Klamath Ranger District and US Forest Service is starting a prescribed underburn on Monday, October 7th.

Firefighters are burning 235 acres on the north side of Highway 140, near the base of Seldom Hill. 

The burning will start at 10:00 am and finish around 4:00 pm. Smoke may be visible for the next 10 to 15 days.
