Power outage affecting thousands in Douglas County

ROSEBURG, Ore. --

UPDATE: According to Pacific Power, an outage that affected thousands in Douglas County has been resolved. The company issued the update in a Tweet on Friday afternoon.

INITIAL REPORT: Thousands of people are without power in the Roseburg area Friday, and Pacific Power is working to identify the cause.

In a tweet, Pacific Power officials said about 20,582 customers are affected. However, the utility company's website displayed upwards of 30,000 people without power throughout Douglas County.

They expect power to be restored at about 4:30 p.m.
