Power Largely Restored Following Major Grants Pass Outage

Pacific Power reported that more than 16,000 customers were without power on Wednesday morning.

GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- 

UPDATE: Power is coming back up for many Grants Pass residents as Pacific Power works on the issue, with their website showing that most of the outages have been resolved at this time. The power company says that the cause was "transmission interruption."

INITIAL REPORT: Pacific Power is reporting more than 16,000 customers are without power near Grants Pass. The cause of the outage is under investigation.
