GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Following a deadly clash between two men in the parking lot of the Fred Meyer in Grants Pass last week, the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety (GPDPS) says that it is looking for a potential witness to the fight.

Shortly after noon on Thursday, June 13, Rolondo Rivas Jr. and Andre Revey got into a fight in the back seat of a white 1993 Lincoln Town Car in the southwest corner of the Fred Meyer parking lot.

Detectives believe that Rivas stabbed Revey "several times" during the struggle. Revey died there, while Rivas tried to leave the scene.

"The Grants Pass Police are requesting any help in identifying witnesses to the homicide," GPDPS said.

Security footage from the scene at the time of the fight shows a white van that was close to Rivas and Revey's Lincoln.

"The driver/witness is believed to be male and was accompanied by two other individuals who had been shopping at Fred Meyer," GPDPS said.

If you know the witness in question or have any further information about the case, call Detective Robert Shaw at (541) 450-6260.
