MEDFORD, Ore. — A male suspect is still at large after robbing a Subway restuarant at gunpoint a week ago, according to the Medford Police Department (MPD).

A man walked into the Subway at 1600 Delta Waters Road just after 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3. MPD says that the man then flashed a handgun and demanded money from the lone sandwich artist on duty. The suspect then grabbed an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene on foot.

When police arrived, they employed a canine to track the suspect down. He was not located, but officers did find his clothing—discarded near the north side of the Pet Smart building.

MPD describes his clothing as a gray long-sleeve shirt, camouflage BDU pants and a black baseball cap. A gray tri-fold nylon wallet was also found near the clothing.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 40 years-old, with dark brown hair. MPD says that he also covered his face with a dust mask during the robbery.

MPD also issued the following tips for businesses open late at night:

 • Drop money from the cash register often
 • Comply with the suspect
 • Be observant if you can
 • Call 911 right away, even if you have a robbery alarm button

Anyone with information regarding the Subway robbery is asked to contact Medford Police Detective Division, 541-774-2230
