MT. SHASTA, Calif. -- Around 7:30p.m. on Sunday, January 20, Mt. Shasta police responded to a burglary behind Black Bear Diner.
According to police, a vehicle parked in the parking lot had been broken into. The vehicles windows were smashed and multiple items of value were taken, including a purse, credit cards and cash.
Following the theft, a stolen credit card was used to purchase a large amount of alcohol from Layton's Liquors in Weed, CA. The images featured in this article were taken from Layton's Liquors' surveillance cameras.
Police are asking anyone with information on the identity of the suspects to contact them at (530) 926-7540.
While conducting the investigation, some of the stolen property was recovered from the dumpster outside of Layton's.
Police want to remind everyone to keep your vehicles locked with all keys and items of value removed or hidden from side whenever left unattended.
