Police Search For Suspected 'Armed and Dangerous' Shooter

Police say 32-year-old Patrick Hermes should be considered armed and dangerous.

GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- Police are searching for 32-year-old Patrick Hermes.

Police say Hermes is the suspect in a shooting that happened around 11:33 a.m. Saturday. 

Officers responded to a report of shots fired near SW I and SW Pine streets.

When they arrived, they found a woman had been shot. They searched the area but have not found Hermes.

Police say he is known from prior violent incidents and assaults on officers.

Hermes is considered armed and dangerous. 

Police say the victim's injuries were minor.

Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has information should call Grants Pass Department of Public Safety Detective Archie Lidey at 541-450-6342.
