UPDATE: Missing Medford Senior Found

77-year-old Erik Laursen had been missing since Sunday evening, according to the Medford Police Department.

MEDFORD, Ore. —

UPDATE: Missing senior 77-year-old Erik Laursen has been located and returned home safely, according to MPD.

"He has been found safe and returned home. Thanks for the help," the department said in a Facebook update on Wednesday morning.

INITIAL REPORT: Police are looking for the public's help in locating a senior man who has been missing since Sunday, according to the Medford Police Department (MPD).

77-year-old Erik Laursen was last seen on Sunday evening around 6 p.m., walking near the intersection of Crater Lake Avenue and Stevens Street in Medford.

Laursen suffers from moderate dementia, MPD said in a Facebook post.

The missing man normally wears glasses, and was last seen wearing a white "Amerititle" baseball cap, a blue puffy down jacket, jeans and tennis shoes. Laursen is thought to be about 5'9" and 160 pounds, with short white hair and roughly 5-6 days' growth of white beard.

Laursen's ID/wallet should be in his left-front pocket.
