GRANTS PASS, Ore. — An armed robbery at New Hope Market in Josephine County led police officers on a trail to two previous robberies, according to Oregon State Police (OSP).
The robbery at New Hope Market occurred on March 24, but OSP troopers found the suspects gone when they arrived. Detectives investigating the New Hope robbery caught wind of a similar armed robbery at Levi's Market on March 7th.

Investigators also learned of a cash theft that occurred at the Williams County Store, and they found that third incident to be related to the first two.

Frankel has been lodged in the Josephine County Jail for two counts of 1st Degree Robbery, three counts of 1st Degree Theft, Unlawful Use of a Dangerous Weapon, and Unlawful Use of Stun Gun, Tear Gas, or Mace.
