MEDFORD, Ore. -- Medford Police responded to a local home after reports of shots fired on W Main Street, the agency said on Thursday morning.
Officers responded to the 1500-block of W Main Street just after midnight. The shooter was gone, but an investigation found that one home near the intersection of W Main and Columbus Avenue had been hit with several rounds.

"The residence in question was occupied by five subjects, and luckily none of them were injured," MPD said. "Officers believe the suspect targeted the victim residence."
Medford Police said that detectives responded to the scene and have since taken charge of the investigation.
