GRANTS PASS, Ore---A judge sentenced PG&E to pay four million dollars on 84 counts manslaughter for the victims of the Camp Fire on Thursday.
The Camp Fire burned through Butte County, California in November of 2018. It destroyed nearly the entire town of Paradise.
PG&E has since taken responsibility for the fire.
The owners of "Catalyst Pizza" in Grants Pass re-located to the Rogue Valley after losing their pizzeria "Sliced."
"I feel like it has been 18 months, and 18 months too long," said Anna Thomas.
While Zack and Anna Thomas feel grateful that they have financially recovered, they still feel the frustration for those who have not.
"We are lucky to be financially stable, but some people are not that lost their houses there. They are still waiting on that check to come from them. Let's see what happens, but it might not even come. I hope it does," said Zack Thomas.
The couple feels grateful for the community of Grants Pass supporting "Catalyst Pizza" during their recovery process.
"This town is beautiful. It is very welcoming. It kind of has the same small-town vibe that Paradise had that drew us there," said Anna Thomas.
