MEDFORD, Ore. — More than 30,000 Pacific Power customers in Jackson County lost power Sunday evening amid record-setting temperatures across much of Oregon.
The outage began shortly after 9 p.m. Though initial estimates for the outage's extent were much lower, Pacific Power eventually reported that 30,062 customers lost power.
Pacific Power said that power was restored to all customers shortly after 11 p.m., reporting that the outage was due to "an equipment problem at the substation." Anyone still experiencing loss of power should try resetting their main breakers, then reach out to the company if power is still not returned.
