MEDFORD, Ore. — One of Medford's newest coffee vendors received an unpleasant surprise on Tuesday night after someone vandalized their stand.
Medford Police said that they got a call from someone shortly after 10 p.m. on Tuesday night, reporting a man "throwing items" and smashing windows at Outsider Coffee. The coffee stand is at 232 N Central Avenue in downtown Medford.

Officers arrived at the stand and confirmed that someone had smashed in the windows. The company later posted on Facebook that nothing had been stolen, but it may have been "someone processing some big emotions."
Medford Police is still investigating the vandalism and did not have any leads on a suspect as of yet. A witness saw the man break the windows before heading away southbound on Central. He's described as a white man with brown hair, a brown shirt, and a tan backpack.
Damages to the stand are estimated at $550, Medford Police said.
The owners of Outsider Coffee told NewsWatch 12 that sounded like the suspect was a transient in the midst of a mental health crisis, beginning near Lithia on McAndrews. He reportedly threw a sewer cover and the base from one of the shop's umbrella stands through the windows.
Outsider said that it would remain open on Wednesday and that only the walk-up side of the stand had been damaged.
