SALEM, Ore-- On Saturday, the state of Oregon reported that it has now surpassed 2,100 total Covid-19 related deaths since the start of the pandemic.
According to officials within the Oregon Health Authority, the state experienced 474 new and presumptive cases of coronavirus along with 43 new deaths.
In the last two days, the state has experienced 81 deaths. And according to OHA reports over the last six days health officials have reported more than 110 deaths. That's an average of 19 deaths per day being reported this week.
Today also marked another milestone in the pandemic's history in Oregon, as the state moved past 150,000 total cases since the start of the pandemic.
The OHA also reported that 20,386 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations have been added to the state immunization registry. Of this total, 11,783 doses were administered on February 12 and 8,603 were administered on previous days but were entered into the vaccine registry on Feb. 12.
Oregon has now administered a total of 669,988 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 885,250 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
