Oregon has reported more than 1,000 new cases over the last four days, giving the state a new weekly record as well today. Currently, the state has seen 63,668 total cases since the start of the pandemic. Oregon still stands towards the bottom of states reporting new cases across the country, but has seen an alarming amount of new cases compared to just a month ago.

Four counties across the state today are reporting more than 100 new cases, with Multnomah county reporting the most new cases with 414.

The seven new deaths also means that 819 people have died because of the coronavirus.

The OHA wants to remind people that this virus is dangerous. To help slow the spread they are continuing to recommend that Oregonians wear face coverings, stay six feet from people outside of their households, wash your hands frequently and to keep any social gatherings small.
