ASHLAND, Ore. -- The intersection of Lithia and Oak will undergo construction over the next couple months, part of an effort by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) to improve the crosswalks.
The project will bring the crosswalks up to ADA regulations.
Three corners of the intersection will be re-done starting in early April. The project is expected to be finished by May 31st.
One specific driveway on the northwest corner will be completely relocated. There is currently no ramp onto the sidewalk on the same corner — there is only a curb that steps straight up. ODOT will be adding the ramp to that corner.
There will be no road closures during the project, so it is important for drivers to be aware of workers as they drive by.
NewsWatch12 This Morning will bring you updates on this project all morning long.
