CENTRAL POINT, Ore. — A traffic stop on I-5 near Central Point last Friday netted more than seven pounds of narcotics, according to the Oregon State Police.
A trooper from OSP's Central Point Area Command pulled over the driver of a 2019 Nissan Rogue around 4 p.m. after reportedly seeing them commit a traffic violation along I-5 near Exit 33.
During a search of the car, OSP says that the trooper found two secret compartments in the floor of the vehicle. Inside, the trooper found 7.2 pounds of cocaine and about 3.5 grams of heroin.
According to OSP, the driver was identified as 50-year-old Marisol Torres Cervantes of Vancouver, Washington. Cervantes was taken to the Jackson County Jail on charges of unlawful possession of cocaine, unlawful delivery of cocaine, and unlawful possession of heroin. She is not currently listed on the County jail inmates log.
