BOARDMAN, Ore. -- Oregon State Police is investigating a shooting and kidnapping in Morrow County. In a statement, OSP says multiple law enforcement agencies responded to a call of a man suffering from a gunshot wound at Love's Truck Stop near exit 159. When investigators arrived, they say they found a 48-year-old male from Eugene inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital.

Authorities have revealed that the victim was shot at another location and transported to Love's Truck Stop by a citizen who was waived down by the victim on Interstate 84. The victim claims he was kidnapped and dropped off by abductors who were driving a maroon van. The victim told police the abductors fled the scene.

Police say there is no threat to the general public regarding this incident.

Anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious circumstances or observed the victim and suspect vehicle on Interstate 84 near milepost 151 this morning are asked to call the Oregon State Police Southern Command Dispatch Center at 1-541-664-4600 and reference case number SP17461025.
