UPDATE: According to ODF a fire that is burning near the 9600 block of East Antelope Road has grown to 25 acres. It was initally reported to be between 7 to 10 acres.
Level 2 evacuations have also been given for all addresses south of the roadblock at 8465 E Antelope Road in Eagle Point.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office and Oregon State Police have made initial notifications to residences within that area.
Approximately 14 JCSO Search and Rescue volunteers are now assisting with roadblocks and evacuation notifications.
ODF says that resources on scene include a crew, multiple engines, a bulldozer and a type 1 helicopter.
At this time, firefighters are working on getting a line around the fire. Firefighters says the fire is burning on a slope, which has been an additional challenge.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
