ODF is mopping up an eight acre wildfire near Hugo

Saturday night a wildfire started in the hills of Quartz Creek.

HUGO, Ore--- The Oregon Department of Forestry is moping up an 8 acre wildfire. 

The fire, which was originally thought to be 15 acres, started on the hills of Quartz Creek above Hugo. Rural Metro Fire and ODF responded to the fire. 

No homes or buildings were threatened. There were also no evacuation notices. Parts of the fire were hard to get to, because of the location. 

Right now ODF is investigating the cause of the fire.
