MONTAGUE, Calif. — Just as quickly as they began, evacuation orders south of the Siskiyou County town of Montague have been lifted by Cal Fire.
Cal Fire tweeted just before 5:30 p.m. that crews were on the scene of another wildfire in Siskiyou County. The agency said that the fire was off Liberty Lane outside of Montague, roughly to the southwest toward Grenada.
An evacuation order was issued for all residents on S Scala Lane and Liberty Lane.
Shortly before 6 p.m., Cal Fire said that the Liberty Fire had been halted at two acres, short of reaching homes in the area. All evacuation orders were lifted.
Fire crews have been working on the Badger Fire northwest of Yreka since Saturday afternoon, but have indicated progress throughout the day.
