ORLANDO, Flo--- The NBA players are making perhaps the strongest statement in sports history by boycotting NBA playoff games over racial injustice.
In reaction, the NBA is postponing all Game 5s that were scheduled to be played on Wednesday. Games to that have been called off include Milwaukee and Orlando, Houston and Oklahoma City, and the Los Angeles Lakers and Portland.
The NBA said that the games will be rescheduled without giving any specific time.
The boycott is over the shooting of Jacob Blake at the hands of Wisconsin police.
The demonstration began when the Milwaukee Bucks, a team based in Wisconsin, refused to take the floor for its Game 5 vs the Orlando Magic on Wednesday. The Orlando Magic went to the floor for warm-ups but eventually left the floor as well.
According to ESPN, there had already been joint talks by the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors to boycott the opening game of the second round which is set to be played on Thursday.
