GRANTS PASS, Or-- Police say this is happening all across Grants Pass and on different days. Four businesses have been damaged as well as eight cars.
Alexis Smithey is the owner Rogue River Florist in Grants Pass. Her business is one of the four with a shattered glass. Smithey says, "you know it sucks." The window showcasing the front of her store is completely shattered.
Smithey says, "we came in Tuesday morning and the window was shattered."
About one mile north is this Quality Inn in Grants Pass. Christi says, "happened just after 8:30 pm (on Sunday). It sounded like a rock hitting the window."
The hotel's front door is shattered. The manager at the time went outside to see what caused it.
Christi says, "there was a guest vehicle that was also hit. The back window was shattered."
Luckily for the hotel and the florist shop they have double glass panels. So only one of the layers shattered. Smithey says, "I am very lucky unlike the other businesses in this town."
The other two businesses damaged were the Twisted Cork in downtown Grants Pass and the Game Stop off of US 199.
Lt. Misty English from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety says, "they are occurring in multiple neighborhoods around town, residential neighborhoods, and business areas so it's pretty wide spread throughout the city."
Lt. English says there are no suspects at this time. The department is looking at a car though. It may be the suspects.
Smithey says, "I don't even know what to think it. It's ridiculous that's what I think."
Now if you do see that car around Grants Pass please give the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety a call.
