GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Grants Pass Police responded to a motorcycle crash on Thursday night along Fruitdale Drive, finding the rider dead when they arrived.
Dispatch received reports of a motorcycle striking a fence just after 8:45 p.m. on Thursday evening. Officers arrived at the scene to find a single rider in the roadway within the 1200-block of Fruitdale Drive as firefighters and medical teams arrived.
The rider, later identified as 66-year-old Robert Alan Lee, did not survive the crash.
An initial investigation concluded that Lee was traveling eastbound on Fruitdale Drive when he failed to negotiate a curve, crashing. Detectives and traffic team members from Grants Pass Police aided in the investigation.
