Missing camper found dead in river

The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office responded to a call Monday afternoon about a missing person who was camping at the Twin Arrows Campground.

SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. —The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office responded to a call Monday afternoon about a missing person who was camping at the Twin Arrows Campground. 

Officials say a woman contacted them saying her boyfriend wonder away from the camp site the night before. The sheriff's office, with help from the Siskiyou Search and Rescue team and the California Highway Patrol helicopter unit -- located a body in the river wedged between rocks.

The Siskiyou dive team was called in to recover the body from the river. The body was of the missing camper, and was identified as Jeremy Wayne Price of North Carolina.

The case is currently under investigation. The sheriff's office says no foul play is suspected, but if anyone has information to call the dispatch center.
