TALENT, Ore. — A Talent woman who went missing last week has been found dead, the Talent Police Department said in an update on Wednesday evening.
According to the agency's original statement, 68-year-old Esperanza Reyes-Garcia walked out of her home last Wednesday night and had not been seen or heard from since. Talent Police said that she was diabetic and needed medication. The agency put out a missing person bulletin over the weekend.
A poster shared by Medford Police said that Reyes-Garcia left the Shady Brooks Mobile Home Park in Talent around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. She frequently took the bus or walked around Talent Avenue, the poster said.
On Wednesday, Talent Police released a video showing Reyes-Garcia walking on Talent Avenue earlier on the day she disappeared to give a more accurate description of her clothing.
Just a few hours later, the agency released an update, saying that Reyes-Garcia was found dead. Her next of kin was notified, and Talent Police said that the case remains under investigation.
Police have not yet released any further information about the circumstances of her death.
