MEDFORD, Ore. — After putting out a call to the public to help them catch a burglar, the Medford Police Department (MPD) has identified the man they believe to be the suspect.
MPD says that 28-year-old Cameryn Geiger is responsible for a number of burglaries in East Medford that have primarily targeted houses under construction. The suspect has stolen a number of tools and equipment, in addition to causing "a lot of damage," according to MPD.
Geiger is believed to be living in his 1993 Dodge Dakota pickup, with Oregon plates reading VST396. He has been known to frequent both Medford and Grants Pass.
Although caught on camera at several of the crime scenes, the suspect was masked and hooded in each case. The break came when police identified a distinctive white truck leaving one of the scenes, with a makeshift canopy covering the truck bed.
MPD says that the locations targeted so far by Geiger have been on Venice Ct, Farmington Avenue, Nebraska Drive, Kansas Drive, and Callaway Drive.
Police are asking that anyone who spots Geiger call 911 right away, referencing Detective Bill Ford's case #18-10540.
