MEDFORD, Ore. -- Medford Fire-Rescue crews say just before 9:15 Wednesday night, they responded to a fully-involved garage fire off the 4500 block of Deer Ridge Drive in Medford. When crews arrived, the people who live in the house were all outside. Still, firefighters performed a search before working to put the fire out. Crews from Medford Fire-Rescue and Fire District 3 worked together to extinguish the fire while Medford Police kept the roads clear. Crews say firefighters were able to keep most of the fire’s damage to the attached garage. There is some smoke damage to the living room and second story bedrooms. Crews are not sure if the family of four that lived in the house will be able to stay there tonight. No one was hurt.

A fire investigator is working to figure out what started this fire. Firefighters will stay on-scene checking for hot spots and removing the smoke from inside the house for the next hour.
