MEDFORD, Ore.- The City of Medford is asking Emerald Triangle Dispensary to stop its home delivery service. City employees say the transaction between the dispensary and customer has to happen inside a secure and enclosed structure. The city says after the dispensary used homes as a secure location for marijuana delivers, it's clarifying the municipal code.
Emerald Triangle Dispensary says it hasn't broken any rules because homes could fall into that category. The dispensary says the door-to-door service helps seniors and disabled veterans who otherwise would have issues making it into town.
On Thursday evening's city counil meeting, staff have drafter the following options to vote on:
- This would prohibit marijuana home delivery to both recreational and medical consumers of marijuana
- This would prohibt marijuanan home delivery to recreational consumers of marijuana, but would allow for delivery to medical consumres of marijuana subject to compliance with state regulations and local documentation requirements.
- This would allow home delivery to both recreational and medical consumers of marijuana subject to compliance with the state regulations and local documentation requirements.
