The third and final suspect in a home-invasion robbery last week in Eagle Point has been arrested.
Funan Wu, 58, was taken into custody earlier today on HWY 140 near Salt Creek Road after attempting to board a school bus. Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies and Oregon State Police troopers arrested Wu without incident.
Jackson County Sheriff says Wu was arrested approximately one-half mile from the crime scene, and had been hiding out for the past four days, and may have found shelter on local property. They are asking anyone in the Lake Creek area who may have noticed disturbed property to call 541-776-7206.
Wu has been charged with four counts of first-degree robbery, four counts of second-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, four counts of second-degree assault, and first-degree theft.
The Jackson County Grand Jury will hear testimony in the case today.
Further information will come from the Jackson County District Attorney’s office.
