MERLIN, Ore. -- For Jonny Mans, rafting has played an essential role in his life. From learning at an early age through his father to being able to raft on his own starting in his early teens, it's something he's continued to enjoy with friends and family.
Now, Mans finds himself in the middle of a nearly two-week-long trip, covering the entirety of the Rogue River.
From Shady Cove to the ocean coast in Gold beach - it's a challenge that allows him to follow in his father's footsteps.
Earlier this Sunday, Mans along with dozens of friends and family all took off from Indian Mary park along Rogue River, to raft alongside him for a part of his trip, after celebrating his 50th birthday the night before.
It's something that according to his loved ones, there's no better way to continue with the celebration.
