LAKE COUNTY, Ore. -- Lake County has been approved for Phase 1 reopening, according to county commissioner James Williams.
The county got an approval letter from Governor Kate Brown last night, and Phase 1 will start on Friday.
The letter contained Governor Brown's goals for a safe and strong Oregon which are listed below:
1) Allow people to return to work so they can support themselves and their families.
2) Minimize risk to front line workers.
3)Avoid overwhelming the health care system.
4)Protect those at highest risk of severe illness, especially the elderly, those with underlying
health conditions, and communities of color.
5) Support social/cultural/spiritual reopening to preserve community cohesion.
The letter also says the Oregon Health Authority will be monitoring the spread of Covid 19 in Lake County.
