KLAMATH COUNTY, Ore. -- Klamath County has been approved for phase one reopening, according to Klamath County Board of Commissioners Chair Kelley Minty Morris.
Klamath County is now the fourth county in our region to be approved.
The county received the same letter that Curry, Jackson, and Lake Counties received Wednesday night.
The letter contained Governor Brown's goals for a safe and strong Oregon which are listed below:
1) Allow people to return to work so they can support themselves and their families.
2) Minimize risk to front line workers.
3)Avoid overwhelming the health care system.
4)Protect those at highest risk of severe illness, especially the elderly, those with underlying
health conditions, and communities of color.
5) Support social/cultural/spiritual reopening to preserve community cohesion.
The letter also says the Oregon Health Authority will be monitoring the spread of Covid 19 in Klamath County.
