KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.--Klamath Falls is getting to know the lone finalist for the Klamath County School District superintendent.

Originally there were three finalists, but two have withdrawn from the race.

The school board has selected Glen Szymoniak as its superintendent finalist.

Szymoniak attended a meet and greet at Henley Elementary School Tuesday night.

Szymoniak has 36 years of experience in education, starting as a third-grade teacher and leading to superintendent positions at three districts in Alaska and Idaho.

The current Klamath County School District superintendent is retiring.

The board expects to have a decision in a matter of days.
