The coats we collected as part of for coats for kids campaign are already being worn by kids in our communities.

Today we went to the Boys and Girls Club in Grants Pass. They told Newswatch 12 that the kids are so excited to have their coats.
With the cold being here a little earlier than normal, it was perfect timing to get all the kids warm.
Newswatch 12 spoke to Clarissa Law the Regional Program Director of the Club.
She said that the kids were looking through the windows while the coats were being hung up ready to be worn.

Clarissa Law says "Excited to wait for their parents to get there and be able to choose the coat that they got to take home with them, it's been really cool to see them get off the bus and they are in their coats."

Newswatch 12 also spoke with Remax one of our partners for Coats For Kids. They helped us collect coats from Josephine County. Tiffany Johnson the Office Administrator told Newswatch 12 that it is something the team looks forward to every year and is a huge team effort.

Tiffany Johnson says "I can tell you we have big trash bags that go inside the red barrels that were around the area and we filled probably 100 of those this year. So i feel like it was super successful, we did good.

Newswatch 12 is still counting the number of coats we received this year. We will have that number for you soon.
