GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Law enforcement officers in Josephine County raided another illegal marijuana grow outside of Grants Pass on Thursday, according to the Sheriff's Office, arresting two men.
Members of the of Josephine Marijuana Enforcement Team (JMET), Rogue Area Drug Enforcement (RADE), and Josephine County Code Enforcement served a search warrant on Thursday at a property in the 4000-block of Linda Lee Lane west of Grants Pass, suspecting that the operation was an unlicensed marijuana grow.
During the raid, investigators seized and destroyed 445 marijuana plants and about 100 pounds of processed marijuana, the Sheriff's Office said.
Officers made two arrests — 24-year-old Litan Dobrinov and 35-year-old Radoslav Nikolov. Both were booked into jail on charges for Unlawful Manufacture of a Marijuana Item and Unlawful Possession of a Marijuana Item.
The Sheriff's Office said that the investigation is ongoing and no further details are being released at this time.
Of the several recent raids on illegal marijuana grow operations in Josephine County, Thursday's was a smaller haul. A pair of search warrants served in September found more than 7,600 plants, 5,000 pounds of processed marijuana, and several hundred pounds of cannabis extract, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Later in September, deputies responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash near Merlin and found the car abandoned, stuffed with bags full of processed and packaged marijuana.
