GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Another person in Josephine County has tested positive for the new coronavirus, public health officials announced on Saturday morning - bringing the total in the county to 13.
Josephine County said it was notified of the new cases on Saturday by the Oregon Health Authority's official medical record system.
Public health workers are now investigating all of the cases to identify more potential contacts and exposures, isolating and monitoring any impacted people.
As of April 4, The county received 415 tests, where 13 have come back positive.
Instead of releasing any identifying features about the individual, public health officials in southern Oregon have preferred to use back-tracking investigations to quietly contact any people who have been in close quarters with the individual, followed by quarantine and monitoring for symptoms.
