Posted: May 15, 2021 6:35 PM

TALENT, Ore.- The Jackson County Community Long-Term Recovery Group is hoping to connect with all South Obenchain and Almeda fire survivors and put you in touch with the local disaster caseworker to develop a recovery plan and access resources for rebuilding.

When you contact a disaster case worker, please share your information. Disaster case workers are hired locally, It may be a few weeks before you hear back. They will identify themselves as being with the Jackson County community long-term recovery group and will help you with the next steps. There will also be bilingual case workers.

If you’ve urgent needs, please let us know at: recover@jccltrg.org

"Our long-term recovery group started meeting at the end  ofearly November of last year and the goal of the long-term recovery group is to bring together community sponsors who will assist fire recovery individuals in their recovery... So the idea would be that a fire survivor may have some insurance or no insurance, they may have different ways to get funding available to solve their problem..."        -Leigh Madsen, Long-term Recovery Group Member

Long-term recovery groups are created by the community after a disaster to help bring everyone back to secure housing.
