Jackson and Josephine Counties honor current and fallen officers

Ceremonies will be held in Jackson and Josephine County on Tuesday, to honor the sacrifices made by current and fallen police officers

MEDFORD, Ore--- Ceremonies will be held in Jackson and Josephine County on Tuesday, to honor the sacrifices made by current and fallen police officers. 

The 2019 Jackson County Peace Officer Memorial Ceremony will be on Tuesday, at 10 a.m. It will happen at the August D. Singler Plaza, which is between the jail and the circuit court buildings. 

Josephine County will also have a ceremony on Tuesday. It will also be at 10 a.m. That one will be on the steps of the Josephine County Courthouse. 

Oregon Governor Kate Brown has also ordered all flags at public institutions of Oregon to be flown at half staff on Wednesday, May 15. 

All of this is part of National Police Week.
