JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. -- Jackson County Commissioner Rick Dyer says Jackson County has been approved to start phase one of reopening starting Friday May 15th.
In a Facebook post, Commissioner Dyer showed a letter he received from Governor Kate Brown Wednesday night.
The letter contained Governor Brown's goals for a safe and strong Oregon which are listed below:
1) Allow people to return to work so they can support themselves and their families.
2) Minimize risk to front line workers.
3)Avoid overwhelming the health care system.
4)Protect those at highest risk of severe illness, especially the elderly, those with underlying
health conditions, and communities of color.
5) Support social/cultural/spiritual reopening to preserve community cohesion.
The letter also says the Oregon Health Authority will be monitoring the spread of Covid 19 in Jackson County.
