CENTRAL POINT, Ore.- Sheriff Nathan Sickler and his team met with dozens of families, answering questions and building trust.
The K-9 unit showed off its training today. Search and Rescue units displayed its bobcat and boat. Plus kids got a chance to jump into the patrol cars and swat truck.
Sheriff Sickler says his team was excited to meet some of the families it serves, "We don't get a lot of opportunities to interact with citizens outside of our daily duties and this is a great way to have people come in and meet our deputies and men and women that work at the sheriffs office in all different divisions we have here."
As a part of National Drug Take Back day, the Sheriff's Office collected potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. The Sheriff's Office says they filled up two large trash cans with prescriptions.
