If you dropped off a ballot for Jackson County. We have an overview of what exactly happens to your ballot.
The ballots are collected from official drops offs from around the county. They are then brought inside the election officer in Medford and sorted for the first time by a machine as well as signature verified. Once they are sorted and verified the ballots are opened and sorted again. If everything checks out the ballots go into a third room where they are scanned and this is where your vote is counted. The Jackson County Clerk Chris Walker told me that young voter registration had a big voter turnout this election.
