French Almond Cake
Cake:
¾ Cup Greek Yogurt
1 ½ Cups Sugar
4 Eggs
1 ½ Cups All PurposeFlour
¾ Cup Almond Flour
3 Tsp Baking Powder
¾ Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Almond Emulsion or Almond Extract
2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
¾ Cup Vegetable Type Oil

Glaze:
1 Tsp Orange Zest
3 Tbls Orange Juice
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
½ Tsp Almond Emulsion or Almond Extract
¾ Cup Powdered Sugar plus more for dusting
Toasted Sliced Almonds
Procedure:
Put parchment rounds on bottom of cake pans and spray.
Mix yogurt, sugar and eggs together. Sift Flours, Baking Powder and Salt into yogurt mixture. Add Almond Emulsion and Vanilla Extract. Stir in Oil.
Pour into cake pans. 6” pans have 13 Ounces of batter in them. Bake. While baking make the glazeCombine Glaze ingredients in a small bowl and whisk to combine. Once the cakes come out, flip them out to a cooling rack. Flip right side up and glaze while warm. Press Almonds onto top of cake. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar.
