MEDFORD, Ore. — For the month of August, Human Bean locations in Jackson County will donate $1 for every drink sold on Tuesdays to ACCESS, Jackson County's regional food bank.
"ACCESS has a long and successful history of helping families and seniors through economic crisis," Human Bean said in a statement. "The COVID-19 pandemic and its associated devastation have increased the need for food, rental, and utility aid. Our communities are seeing an unprecedented demand for help."
Each dollar donated can supply four meals through ACCESS, Human Bean said in a statement. After a similar drive last April, the money raised helped provide thousands of meals for the food insecure.
"That effort alone helped us provide 60,000 meals for our hungry friends and neighbors,” said Kellie Battaglia, Development Director at ACCESS.
Human Bean says that its goal is to supply another 60,000 meals for those in need. On top of the donations per drink on Tuesdays, all Human Bean locations will also be accepting cash donations for ACCESS.
