ASHLAND, Ore.,-- Campgrounds all around the region are busy prepping sites for summer.
The Jackson County Parks Department is hard at work.
Crews are working on preparing Howard Prairie Lake Resort for the camping season.
“Our staff is going around making sure that our water systems are safe for the public to drink and have no pathogens in them,” says Steve Lambert the Parks Program Manager.
The crews are also making sure all the brush is cleared from the campground and testing the water.
“We send them in to Nielsen’s Lab to make sure that our water is suitable for our customers to drink and used throughout the season at the park,” says Dustin Stafford, who is a water sewer specialist.
The resort is set to open on Friday, April 26th.
