Health Alert: Midnight Snacking

When you eat during the day, your body is able to break down fat for energy. When you go to sleep, everything shuts down. When you eat close to bed everything slows down and you are not able to metabolize and can gain weight along with other health issues.

MEDFORD, Ore. -- Midnight snacking or a late dinner is not good for you because your body is supposed to shut down and refresh while you sleep. 

When you eat during the day, your body is able to break down fat for energy.

Your body shuts down when you sleep and that's the time for your body to rest.

When you eat close to bed you are not able to metabolize and can gain weight along with other health issues.
