GRANTS PASS, Ore. — A Grants Pass woman was arrested this week after she allegedly stole more than $142,000 from an elderly relative over the course of a year.
Detectives arrested 42-year-old Crysta McNair on Wednesday after a "lengthy" investigation. According to the agency, over the course of a year McNair forged 110 checks and conducted fraudulent bank transfers to steal thousands from her relative.
McNair faces two counts of aggravated theft, three counts of first-degree forgery, two counts of computer crimes, and three counts of identity theft. She was lodged at the Josephine County Jail.
